Improvement of Engineering Program Using Nsee Standards
Overview
This study assessed the level and drivers of student engagement in the engineering programs of School A using a localized National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) framework. Employing a quantitative descriptive-diagnostic design, data were gathered through a structured online questionnaire administered via Google Forms to all 43 first-, second-, and third-year students enrolled in the Computer, Electronics, and Industrial Engineering programs in Academic Year 2025-2026, and analyzed using frequency distributions, weighted means, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression. Results showed that four engagement dimensions-Academic Challenge, Learning with Peers, Campus Environment, and Financial Capability-were rated "High," while Experience with Faculty obtained only a "Moderate" rating (overall mean = 2.45), identifying it as the weakest engagement dimension and primary diagnostic priority.
