Others were written based on contest prompts from online poetry sites. I don't feel confined to any particular style or subject. I write what comes to me. Some of these pieces literally just popped into my head and I wrote them down before I forgot them. I am mostly driven to use rhyme, though I have strayed a few times. I try to vary the rhyme scheme to keep things fresh and interesting as much as possible. I also love to incorporate humor whenever I can and I have even indulged in the occasional parody: some are within this body of work.
