Introduction of CIP in SMEs
Overview
Overcoming the challenges of the present and the future in SMEs will essentially depend on their ability to adapt. Economic dependencies are increasingly forcing SMEs into processes that drive them away from reacting and towards acting. Temporary, short-term, situation-specific, ad hoc measures to remedy problems that only address their effects will be replaced by a structured problem-solving approach that deals with combating the causes of the problems. One of these approaches is called CIP (continuous improvement process) and, together with the PDCA cycle, sets the course for a continuous improvement process. With the unconditional will of leadership, integration and the utilisation of employee knowledge, teamwork will be used to tap into previously untapped potential. The joint approach to eliminating problems at their source and constantly questioning and improving standards that have already been achieved increases the sense of togetherness and the motivation that comes with it. A necessary step will be the introduction of CIP in SMEs.
