Music Reviews
Editorial Reviews
Spin - "The album's as suited to clubs as solo listens, and either will reveal little moments: a sprawling synth-guitar solo following an already standout Vic Mensa track, the interlude in 'Vivid Dreams' suspended beneath one high house synth."
Billboard - "Stylistically, it's a little bit of everything --- dance, hip-hop, R&B, funk and soul with a lick of jazz -- but impeccably and curatorially so..."
Pitchfork (Website) - "His drums are configured strangely, bending, shifting, doubling back. With those rhythms, and his own custom-made synths, the 23-year-old shows himself to be a strong-willed studio auteur on a mix of instrumental and lyric-based tracks."
Clash (Magazine) - "Moving with capable ease between the synthetic and organic, Kaytranada's debut is the type of record that comes along once every so often that packs vintage goodness with future promise concurrently."
