Legitimacy and Innovation in the Context of Religious TNGOs : How are Trajectories of Innovation Amongst TNGOs Differentiated by Religiosity?
Overview
In light of previous research within the realm of innovation, this dissertation seeks to bridge the gap between innovation and organizational behaviour theories and demonstrate that these theories can be mutually beneficial and should be developed in the future. The empirical findings are most clear and understandable when considered in light of both theories which provide a more adequate basis on which to analyse the research concerning innovation in religious organisations. The research has considered three humanitarian transnational non-governmental organisations (TNGOs)- one Catholic, one Christian, and one secular- in order to develop an understanding of differences caused by religiosity and the potential impacts of these differences.
