Once in upstate New York Adams becomes attracted to Onida as he frees her from capture, and earns the trust of the Iroquois chief. As Adams is accompanied back to the fort, he and Keoga (Tommy Cook), encounter an ambush and Keoga is killed. The Iroguois chief holds the white men responsible for the attack, and takes Adams hostage. Captivity and love ensue amidst the chaos and bloodshed.
