His previous case there, where he helped to discover who stuffed a baby's body in the wall of a house in the 1940s, has certainly improved his professional standing. His PI business is in demand, and his bank account isn't complaining.The down-on-his-luck, possible client is a local auto mechanic, Justin Stirling, who wants Cody to find Julia Alder, the woman, who, 30-some years before, skipped out on their elopement. Stirling is convinced the woman's family may have harmed her. For Cody, it's a no-brainer--she didn't really want the guy.The murder of his prospective client only a few days after he's requested Cody's help is too much of a coincidence for Cody to ignore. Yet, when it becomes evident he's taking Justin case, almost everyone in Ewington tells him to steer clear of Julia's reclusive, very rich family, the Alders.With his now-girlfriend Marilyn Shuck--aka highly successful romancewriter Marilyn Hendrix--helping him, Cody soon discovers the Alders' shocking, centuries-old secret, one he's reluctant to believe, until he and Marilyn face the consequences of their curiosity.", "item_img_path" : "https://covers3.booksamillion.com/covers/bam/9/79/834/856/9798348569006_b.jpg", "price_data" : { "retail_price" : "24.99", "online_price" : "24.99", "our_price" : "24.99", "club_price" : "24.99", "savings_pct" : "0", "savings_amt" : "0.00", "club_savings_pct" : "0", "club_savings_amt" : "0.00", "discount_pct" : "10", "store_price" : "" } }
