Synopsis:
When Janet's mother is committed to an insane asylum after violently stabbing her husband to death, Janet falls victim to horrific dreams portending her own plummet into insanity. The frightened girl is taken from school and put into the care of a nurse, Grace, and a handsome young guardian, Henry Baxter. Henry and Grace begin an illicit romance and, in order to continue their affair, decide to kill Baxter's wife. By tapping into Janet's nightmare's, the two lure her into carrying out the murder for them. Poor Janet, like her mother, is deemed mad. Henry and Grace marry, and all seems well at first. But Grace fears that she will be the next victim of Henry's evil machinations. Can she escape his murderous clutches -- or is she too guilty herself to survive?
