Synopsis:
When the cops discover a composer, dead in the midst of finishing a song, they conclude that he killed himself. Crusty detective Joe Warne strongly believes that the tunesmith was murdered, however, and he decides to investigate. Warne's dogged search for the killer annoys the police department and before long, he is kicked out. And they're not the only ones dismayed by his tactics, as Warne realizes when some thugs rough him up. Will the detective's perseverance pay off?
