Portrait of Victoria
Overview
As a little girl I had dreamed of one day going to Paris and seeing the beauty That I saw in photos. As a teenager I put those dreams into motion. But my fate was changed drastically. One day I was choosing clothes for my trip to Paris, the ending of my carefree days as a teen before I would began college and start my Adult life. And then the next day I was choosing burial clothes. My grief would trigger many different and unexpected emotions. It seemed like everyone knew how to deal with my loss, everyone but me. I couldn't eat I couldn't sleep, and after a while I couldn't even cry. I was told to Support myself emotionally by taking care of myself physically. I was told I was in Shock and denial, I was depressed, that I needed Acceptance and then there would be hope. But no one spoke of forgiveness. My hope came when an elderly woman taught me how to forgive myself, as we walked on the streets of Paris.
