Primeye : Book One: A Sky Only He Can See
Overview
On the last Monday of October, Ren Kade sees three cracks in the sky above Halloway. No one else sees them. Not his best friend Mira. Not his mother, pouring coffee at the Blue Kettle. Not one single person on the bridge beside him.
It's the first sign that Ren has always known more than a twelve-year-old should - which board on the bridge will give first, which sign will go dark before Christmas, what a building remembers about the people who lived there. He used to think it made the world quieter. Now it's telling him things are about to break.
As the knowing grows sharper and stranger, Ren finds himself pulled toward a truth hidden underneath Halloway itself - one that powerful people have spent lifetimes trying to control, exploit, or bury. What he learns will cost him more than he's prepared to pay, and the town he loves may be the only thing standing between him and the dark on the other side of what he can see.
Primeye: Book One is a story about a boy who sees too much, the friends who ground him, and the price of knowing - the first book in a trilogy for readers who loved growing up a little too aware of what the world wasn't telling them.
