Overview
Read Japanese Through Gratitude, Community, and Real N3 Grammar
みんなの おかげ is Level B1.2 in the Read Japanese Without Guessing series, an interlinear reader that helps you read real Japanese without a dictionary.
This book continues Lucas's story as he realizes how much his Tokyo community has done for him and looks for a way to give back. Through a neighborhood photo project, you will learn reasons, hearsay, favors, gratitude, and social connection.
No guessing.
No dictionary.
Just reading - with meaning always visible.
If B1.1 helped you express opinions, ability, goals, and register switching, B1.2 helps you explain, describe, infer, suggest, give, receive, and thank people naturally.

Japanese appears with English meaning above or beside the words, so you understand the sentence as you read. Instead of pausing to guess, flip pages, or search a glossary, your brain sees Japanese and meaning together.
Traditional reading: stop, look up a word, lose the flow.
Interlinear reading: understand immediately, continue reading, enjoy the story.
Each chapter includes the story first in interlinear format, then again in clean Japanese only. Read with support first. Then reread without support to build fluency.
The Story: Thanks to EveryoneLucas is no longer only a newcomer in Japan. His photos have been noticed, and Tanaka-san asks him to photograph the neighborhood for the caf 's anniversary celebration. As Lucas works with Yuki, Tanaka-san, Coco, and the neighbors, he sees how many people have quietly helped him.
The grammar becomes the heart of the story: someone helped me, I received kindness, let's do this together, and now I want to help others. By the end, Tokyo is becoming home.
