Overview
George Shipman came from a respectable middle class family. However, he found his life unfulfilling, and wanted to travel and explore new things. Circumstances had spoiled his chances of a higher education, although he had the intelligence to go further than he did. Whenever opportunities arose, instead of remaining in his life's certainties and comforts, he took the chances that opened to him. The doors of life for him, led from working on Oil-Rigs, to Africa . He found his way, spending three years, in a totally new world, much more than he could have imagined. From one side of the Country to another, in the then, Southern Rhodesia, he experienced responsibility, sights and deeds, now dwindling to extinction in this modern world.
