Synopsis:
"Return of the Musketeers" picks up 20 years after "Four Musketeers" leaves off. The story focuses on our four old friends as they regroup to carry out a task for the Queen of France. They are to go to England and rescue Charles I from being decapitated. On their way, however they encounter Justine, the full grown daughter of Milady -- whom they executed twenty years earlier -- and a spy for Charles' captor Oliver Cromwell. Out for revenge, Justine tries to foil the Musketeers' plans and wreak vengeance on her mother's killers.

The picture is dedicated to the memory of Roy Kinnear who played Planchet. He died as a result an accident during production.
In the novel Milady's sibling is a male, but the producers decided to cast a woman in the part, to avoid having such a havily male cast.
Historical sources claim that the person upon which the character of Milady was based may have been a man masquerading as a woman.
