Romans
Overview
This study of Romans is an opportunity to be taken into the history of our faith by one of the greatest practical theologians. The letter contains lessons which might be considered essential nutrients to mature our faith.
St. Paul wrote Romans after twenty years of experience in ministry. He describes the proud Jewish foundations of Christianity and celebrating them, he encourages his readers to do likewise.
Romans isn't simply a deep dive into Jewish history. Characteristically, Paul uses his platform to develop themes aimed at maturity. He was thankful for the evangelical work which had established the church in Rome, but it was time for the church to press on.
Paul's encouragement remains timeless. In the book's latter chapters, we will find ample application to challenge our own maturity.
