Overview
In October 2006, Nate Jacobsen, an absent minded 42 year old Systems Analyst, finds himself unsupervised for a week when his girlfriend goes on a business trip. Dismayed by the U.S. government's frightening and immoral behavior in the world, he writes an irreverent country western song. Upon hearing it, his bouyant Irish friend, Pat O'Malley decides they should make a video. Filming it with the help of their Buddhist meditation group, they post it on the web and are startled when it becomes an instant, international success, garnering the good and bad will inherent in such fame. The video attracts the watchful eyes of a pernicious element in the White House and the FBI, who are desperate to place terrorists before the American public. This innovative novel explores what happens when the na vet of spiritually minded humanitarians faces the vigorous fanaticism of the American Right. "A fresh, humorous novel for an aging generation-X."-Kinsey Alyn Becker
