Overview
Sadness in the color yellow is a book about sadness and happiness and how it's confusing but possible to feel both at the same time. There are only two sections of this book and those are: sadness in all its forms and the color yellow. The sadness section is about a lot of things, but it mainly follows the first four stages of grief. Everyone's grief is different, so this section is not in order of the stages and is very messy. You can grieve a relationship, yourself, a loved one, missed opportunities, your childhood, and more. When I talk about grief in this book, I'm talking about all of these things. Don't get stuck in the first section for too long because I promise the second one is better. The color yellow section is about the last stage of grief, which is acceptance. This section of the book gives hope and a different perspective to the things talked about in the first section.
