Overview
Sherriff Buck Olsen is a 29-year veteran of law enforcement, grieving the loss of his wife the previous Fall. With crime in his childhood home of Beaufort County restricted to the occasional moonshiner or a kid with a bag of weed, he's content to have an easy ride towards retirement. Little does Buck know that a serial killer is prowling the area around his Killer's Knob home and has already claimed 21 victims, burying 8 of them within a mile of Buck's home. But the Blue Grass Killer is no ordinary psychopath. He has studied previous mass murderers and their methods, worked out how to kill again and again without being caught and has no intentions of halting his deadly rampage any time soon. With the discovery of the killer's latest victim by Buck himself, national attention becomes focused on Beaufort County and the FBI descend on the quiet rural idyll as an investigation swings into action. In order to draw him out, Buck agrees to make himself a target and as the killer begins stalking him a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues. Eventually it will lead to a confrontation between two men with vastly different agendas, where the stakes are as high as they can be and only one will survive.
