Movie Reviews

Synopsis:
This film examines an ordinary man who tries to keep his family together -- and maintain his sanity -- amid several New Age groups, casual drug use, sexual politics, and the ever-changing vernacular. Harvey loves his middle-class life-style in Northern California. But everyone, including his wife, daughter and friends, has adopted one, some or all of the fads wreaking havoc on American popular culture. Will the buttoned-down guy stick to his guns or eat only vegetables, light a joint, hop into a hot tub, and otherwise agree not to "invade someone else's space"?

Notes:
This was TV writer-director Bill Persky's first feature film. Additional credit: Cyra McFadden (source writer: from novel). Color by Movielab.
