Sight of Surrender
Overview
What if the Christian life is not primarily about striving, but about seeing?
These pages were born out of prayer, worship, and a growing fascination with the beauty of Jesus Christ. Through poems, meditations, and personal reflections, the reader is invited to behold the One who is both Lion and Lamb, King and Servant, Judge and Saviour.
With a voice that is at once tender and uncompromising, this collection explores themes of surrender, holiness, sanctification, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. Again and again, it returns to one central truth: that Christ is worthy of the whole heart.
Whether you are weary, searching, or longing to know God more deeply, these writings are an invitation to draw near, to listen for His voice, and to discover afresh the beauty of the One who laid down His life for you.
For to know Him is life itself.
About the Author: Jay is a Christian writer whose poems, prayers, and reflections are born out of a desire to know Jesus Christ more deeply. Drawing inspiration from Scripture and a life of fellowship with God, she writes about the beauty of Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the transforming power of divine love. Her hope is to encourage others to draw near to God and discover the joy of belonging wholly to Him. Jay came to know Jesus Christ in the midst of her struggle with anorexia, during a time when life felt marked by fear, control, and the exhausting weight of self-destructive patterns. It was there, in weakness and brokenness, that she began to encounter the gentle and steadfast love of Christ. Learning to trust Him was not an instant transformation but a daily surrender-a gradual journey of letting go of old ways of coping and discovering that His grace was sufficient even in her deepest struggles. This story of learning to trust, stumbling, surrendering, and trusting again is woven throughout her writing. Her poems and reflections often capture the quiet inward battle between faith and fear, between the desire to cling to familiar habits and the invitation to rest in Christ's love. With honesty and vulnerability, she writes from the place where healing and holiness meet, where God patiently teaches the heart to believe that it is safe in His hands. Above all, her work bears witness to the faithfulness of Jesus Christ, who meets people in their darkest places and lovingly leads them into freedom, hope, and a deeper knowledge of Him.
