Synopsis:
Roy and Helen Knable get shaken out of their dull suburban existence when they respond to a trial offer for a new cable- TV network. In the time it takes to flip a channel, they find themselves trapped inside "Hellvision," a nightmarish alternative universe run by Satan himself. Roy and Helen must spend the next 24 hours trying to escape a diabolical line-up of inane programming or say goodbye to their souls forever.

Notes:
Co-produced by ST Productions (USA). Distributed in Scandinavia by Scandinavia Media Alliance (SMA). Estimated budget of $25 million. Shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and Tucson, Arizona in Alpha Cine color and Panavision, prints by Technicolor. Animators and photographers began shooting October 15, 1991. The crew went into post-production January 25, 1992. when the shooting was completed. Released in USA August 14, 1992 and on video January 6, 1993. Similar in its style to "Waxworks," director Peter Hyams' animated film, "Stay Tuned" was a good satire of popular television and the people who watch it. Animation by Chuck Jones is considered to be of exceptional detail.
