Overview
Pearls Aren't for Kids A young Chinese boy by the name of Wong Chun Li accompanies his parents to Hawaii where his father plans to purchase the Outrigger Reef on the Beach Hotel. His father takes him to watch pearl divers and buy a string of pearls. The boy associates the pearls with the Hawaiian Islands and as he presents the gift to his mother says, "We have conquered the Islands of Hawaii for you." Forty years later Bordeau and Bristol are asked to assist an intelligence officer with SUBPAC, Hawaii to investigate the murder of a radio operator on the attack submarine USS NORTH CAROLINA. The case leads to a major espionage operation involving American subs worldwide and a plan to capture Pearl Harbor.
