It describes many events which occurred during the reign of king David. Much of the contents of 1 Chronicles overlaps with the contents of 1 & 2 Samuel. They present different accounts of many of the same events. 1 Chronicles contains several lists of names of children of Israel who participated in the tasks and events of the time. Because king David was a great warrior, the Lord did not allow him to build Him a house. David's many preparations to help Solomon construct the Temple, however, are recorded in 1 Chronicles. At the end of David's life and with the Lord's approval, he crowned his son Solomon king of Israel.", "item_img_path" : "https://covers2.booksamillion.com/covers/bam/0/35/903/935/0359039359_b.jpg", "price_data" : { "retail_price" : "19.98", "online_price" : "19.98", "our_price" : "19.98", "club_price" : "19.98", "savings_pct" : "0", "savings_amt" : "0.00", "club_savings_pct" : "0", "club_savings_amt" : "0.00", "discount_pct" : "10", "store_price" : "" } }
