"Mulligan, like Streep, is simply a mesmerizing actress....She brings to vibrant life an important part of our global history that’s easy to forget -- the struggle for a woman’s right to vote." - 10/29/2015 Chicago Sun-Times

"[I]t's easy to forget how angry and savage the battle around women's suffrage was, and the way that SUFFRAGETTE reminds us of the pain and sacrifice that went into that victory is one of this film's strengths." - 10/23/2015 Los Angeles Times

3 stars out of 4 -- "What makes SUFFRAGETTE a relevant rabble-rouser, besides Mulligan's fierce, affecting performance, is the way it won't bow to the kind of Hollywood formula that tsk-tsks about how bad it was then..." - 10/22/2015 Rolling Stone

"Gavron has done her homework in bringing the dramatically stratified world of SUFRAGETTE to life. From the outset, the film is suffused with bustling atmosphere and a heavy sense of dread." - 10/29/2015 Washington Post
