{ "item_title" : "Sugar Butties on the Doorstep.", "item_author" : [" Kath Dodd "], "item_description" : "Sugar Butties on the Doorstep by Kath Dodd is a striking collection of poems which capture the memories of a childhood spent in Liverpool during the heady days of the Mersey Beat, mods, and the emergence of The Beatles in 50's and 60's. These are not, however, simply poems about youthful rebellion and a world on the brink of change but also are gentle reflections on family, childhood games, places long gone. The poetry succeeds in evoking this world without being sentimental or nostalgic and has a personal tone while simultaneously describing the universal pleasures of childhood. Ms. Dodd displays a unique talent which is sure to be appreciated by any reader.", "item_img_path" : "https://covers1.booksamillion.com/covers/bam/1/84/753/273/184753273X_b.jpg", "price_data" : { "retail_price" : "9.10", "online_price" : "9.10", "our_price" : "9.10", "club_price" : "9.10", "savings_pct" : "0", "savings_amt" : "0.00", "club_savings_pct" : "0", "club_savings_amt" : "0.00", "discount_pct" : "10", "store_price" : "" } }
