Tahoe Rim Trail : Trekathon 2026
Overview
This third annual trekathon event was purposed to raise funds for materials needed to help communities develop neighborhood houses of prayer every day. It serves a as an example that demonstrates the power of God when we pray and walk in our neighborhoods and communities. He gives us the authority to demolish the strongholds of the enemy and tear down the Jericho walls of separation, pride, and self-centeredness and bring peace and joy, and the presence of Jesus over every household, every school and every workplace. He gives us His Sevenfold Spirit and calls His children to step out through Faith in Jesus with random acts of kindness.
The Tahoe rim Trail is a 167 mile trek that goes through a portion of Desolation wilderness.
The elevation of Lake Tahoe generally runs around 6,000 feet above sea level. The highest gains in altitude are up to 10,000 feet at Mount Rose. The trails are fairly well maintained. Echo Lake through Desolation wilderness has plentiful water resources. Moving toward the North Shore, water becomes more murky and on the Nevada side of the Lake the water is limited every 10 to 15 miles. This makes for a heavy backpack because of the additional water carry. This becomes one of the most challenging items of the entire trip.
This book shares the beauty of God's Creation and entails a faith based journey that covers the challenges one faces with wilderness hiking.
