Terror On Tap
Overview
In Chattanooga, Tennessee, there is poison in the water. One man is already dead. Inside the Chattanooga Water Company, managers, technicians, and executives spend three sleepless days rushing to contain the situation. But, they are unable to determine how lethal pesticide entered the public's water supply - until they receive a ransom demand. Morgan Lawrence, public relations manager for the water company, never expected to be the key to foiling a terrorist plot. But, when the mastermind behind the Chattanooga water poisoning turns out to have a strange fascination with her in particular, she (and "Meredith," the ambiguously helpful voice inside her head) becomes caught in a web of international espionage. Terror On Tap tackles political extremism, warns about the safety of America's public and private utilities, and asks questions about the roles of government and the media in combatting terrorism. In addressing these themes, Terror On Tap is even more relevant today than when it was first published, as On Tap, 1989.
