This Hell Is Home
Overview
It's never too late to be what you might have been.
Seventeen years ago, Bill Olsen left the chaos and violence of his youth behind and began sleepwalking his way through life. Foolishly believing he had become a different person, a better person.
Now Bill finds himself judged for the sins of his past and sent to the Highlands, where he's given an anthropomorphic skeleton key to his fourth-floor apartment and a job "picking up the trash". Friends are made, and beautiful women vie for his attention.
Instead of the eternal torment he had long been promised, Bill finds a strange, twisted paradise.
Not everything is better in the Highlands, though.
Bill is haunted by living nightmares as his past finally catches up with him. Cuts and bruises heal in minutes, broken bones in an hour, his body quickly put back together, only to endure further suffering.
Through it all, a strange soundtrack plays endlessly in Bill's head as, piece by piece, the facade of the different, better person he believed he had become is peeled away, leaving only the monster he buried long ago. A monster given a damn good reason to go on one final violent spree.
