{ "item_title" : "Thoughts Encouraging You to Think", "item_author" : [" Neil Fichthorn "], "item_description" : "Have you ever taken the time to study the scriptures for yourself to determine what you really believe and how to live a Christian life? Or are you satisfied to be spoon-fed by your favorite pastor/teacher? You realize, of course, that many well-known, respected preachers/teachers are not in agreement with all theology and manner of living. This book asks questions and gives practical guidance where the rubber meets the road. If I challenge you to study an issue and you come up with a different conclusion than mine, I will still have achieved the goal of this book, which is to make you think and come up with your own conclusions. You can read this by chapter content or use smaller sections as daily devotionals. However you read it, study to show yourself approved unto God...rightly dividing the Word of Truth. (IITim. 2:15) It's been said that most suffer from hardening of the categories as they age. Certainly not true for Neil Fichthorn! After decades of successful leadership on numerous Christian ministry boards and leading one of the country's premier Christian conference centers, he began to THINK. In so doing he challenges traditional thinking, and rattles your cage about culture, conventional practice, politics, relationships, theology and more. Only rule...how does it match with Scripture? Reading this book may keep you from shallow and rote practice of ill-founded ideas!
