Overview
Auditor Julian Vane arrives at Far-Line Relay 07 expecting a routine inspection of humanity's deep-space power network. He finds rewritten telemetry, a station chief guarding a brass key, and the Lin-Echo: a compressed mind modeled on the dead physicist who built the relay.
For decades, the Echo has corrected a beam supporting Earth's farms and orbital habitats while concealing a structured absence moving through the outer system. The Bureau calls it calibration drift. Julian's suppressed memories of Relay 04 suggest otherwise. As the Quiet Horizon closes on the routes of ten seed ships, he must decide whether truth belongs to the institution that certifies it, the machine that preserved it, or the people whose survival depends on knowing.
The Threshold of Reflection is a cerebral hard-science-fiction thriller about artificial consciousness, institutional power, and what happens when reality changes faster than authority can admit it.This item is Non-Returnable
