It is a compelling story, one that juxtaposed media melodrama with the loneliness of death. The narrative reported from Sand Cave, Floyd's eventual tomb, made a local story into a worldwide-sensationalized one. This play came about from its author's tendency to dive deeply into research topics and a large cast of very talented young men in search of a play. The author became playwright, designer, and director, while the young men went on to win a regional competition with a one-act version of the play in 2006. Floyd Collins, the greatest cave explorer ever known, lost his life in Sand Cave, but the story of how that happened has a life of its own. Trapped for Life is but one telling of his story", "item_img_path" : "https://covers1.booksamillion.com/covers/bam/1/45/635/673/1456356739_b.jpg", "price_data" : { "retail_price" : "8.75", "online_price" : "8.75", "our_price" : "8.75", "club_price" : "8.75", "savings_pct" : "0", "savings_amt" : "0.00", "club_savings_pct" : "0", "club_savings_amt" : "0.00", "discount_pct" : "10", "store_price" : "" } }
