He wrote short lyric poems, long narrative poems, prose, travel impressions, criticism, and novels. His first major work was The Traveler and His Road, an original novel about the great tragedy experienced by the Armenian people in the early 20th century, the rise of national consciousness, and the unity of the individual with their homeland. Written in the form of a diary, the book records the author's turbulent three-year journey from 1922 to 1925, from Istanbul, Turkey, to Soviet Armenia, and finally to his decision to leave.Liu Yongli, Ph.D. in Translation Studies from Wuhan University, is a lecturer in the English Department of the School of Foreign Languages, Xiangtan University, and a master's supervisor in Translation Studies. He has been engaged in English and translation teaching and research at the university level for over 20 years, primarily focusing on the research, teaching, and practice of translating Chinese classics into English. He has led a General Project of the National Social Science Fund of China (2024), a Youth Project of the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences (2013), and a Project of the Hunan Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Fund (2011).
