Twisted
Overview
Chrissy falls for Kelton, a military cybersecurity specialist who seems wounded and sweet in flashes, but their relationship quickly turns into control, shame, and punishment. When she begins finding her voice and refuses to stay small, he disappears, then resurfaces in a darker form, watching her from a distance. Kelton uses fake accounts, burner numbers, and targeted sabotage to invade her privacy, destabilize her online business with no-show "clients," and send accusations to her personal email, always pushing for a reaction he can twist into proof she is unstable.
As Chrissy tries to tell the truth, she runs into the cruel reality that paperwork and public perception often matter more to outsiders than facts. Kelton weaponizes a restraining order to silence her while continuing to stalk her in secret, then performs a clean double life to keep his family, friends, and new partner convinced he is the victim. Instead of collapsing, Chrissy starts documenting everything, researching narcissistic abuse and coercive control, and shifting her platform into a global space for awareness and healing. Survivors recognize the tactics instantly and rally around her, turning her voice into a threat Kelton cannot control. The story ends without pretending the danger magically disappears, but with Chrissy fully moving on and becoming unavailable to the cycle, no longer willing to be consumed by his obsession.
