The Unflappable Mr. Brooks
Overview
Ian Brooks is one of six pilots expecting to be promoted to First Officer on American Airlines' new Airbus 320 family of aircraft. It is a goal he worked very hard for once he got his private pilot's license at the age of fifteen. Now at almost forty, Brooks is one of the youngest and brightest pilots flying the skies of the free-world, delivering passengers safely to their destinations. Just when he thinks his life couldn't get any better, Brooks almost dies in a freak accident, when his out-of-control car crashes into a pedestrian, killing him instantly. Brooks is charged with the shocking murder of Donald Parker, a fellow airline employee. At the trial, Parker's devastated lover, who witnessed the accident, is out for blood and revenge, insisting on a guilty plea and a death penalty. Things do not look good for Brooks.
