Movie Reviews
Reviews:
"[A] gorgeous tone poem that both deepens and personalizes the audio recording, creating a satisfying emotional arc that isn’t as apparent in the collection of 13 fully-orchestrated country-tinged songs..." - 09/12/2019 Hollywood Reporter
"The songs, composed in a glowing style of ’70s Southern California country pop, are what you might call happy portraits of heartbreak, and one of them, 'There Goes My Miracle,' soars to a gorgeous cresting height of confessional melancholy." - 09/13/2019 Variety
"[A] lovely companion piece to the latest album from the legendary musician, a gorgeous, introspective journey into the very concept of the American conscience." - 10/25/2019 RogerEbert.com
4 stars out of 5 -- "[A] transporting musical ode to the American West -- old, new, and all those hypnotic and haunting shades in between." - 10/23/2019 Rolling Stone
"The energy here is controlled, the mood reflective. These character-driven songs are populated by the washed-up and the run-down -- an aging actor, a hitchhiker -- and the shared themes are remembrance and regret." - 10/24/2019 New York Times
4 stars out of 5 -- "[T]he results are sweeping, melancholy and magical." - 10/21/2019 Empire
