What the Nanny Goat Told Her Kids
Overview
A nanny goat is provoked by an insult carelessly thrown around by Mrs Ransom, her owner's wife, and so she incites her kids to join her and rebel against the Ransoms. But their main target, Mr Ransom, is accidentally hurt during a robbery attempt in his home and so he goes for a medical check-up the next day. All the goats starve in the stalls in his absence for half a day. The nanny goat gets too weak to feed her kids which are famished. There is a heated argument between the kids and the nanny goat as regards Mr Ransom being a good or bad man. Thought for food takes over thought for a revolution. 'WHAT THE NANNY GOAT TOLD HER KIDS' is a tale from the nanny goat's point of view but the dogs in the Ransoms' home end up as heroes. Embedded in this fascinating yarn is the strand of the lofty schemes con artists would initiate to pave the way for them to defraud the gullible public.
