Music Reviews
Editorial Reviews
Rolling Stone - 4 stars out of 5 -- "With light-touch production by Danger Mouse, this is also the funkiest and sweetest Parquet Courts set yet, trading off some of their trademark guitar fireworks for danceable jams."
Spin - "Though WIDE AWAKE! is clearly a Parquet Courts record, it shows Danger Mouse's fingerprints as well, with dubby minor-key ambience and a record collector's grab bag of sonics..."
Spin - Included in Spin's "The 51 Best Albums of 2018" -- "'Mardis Gras Beads' and 'Freebird II,' two sloping, ambling tracks that live in their own hazy universe of 70s southern rock, are a sign that, at the heart of their angriest record yet, Parquet Courts weren't afraid to embrace tenderness."
NME (Magazine) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "WIDE AWAKE! is an indelible underlining of their status as one of the most important bands in the world right now."
Clash (Magazine) - "WIDE AWAKE! finds a perfect balance between the humorous, tongue-in-cheek style that the band have always done well with, and a fuzzy, alternative, distorted sound that gives an edge to what otherwise, could have been a toothless comedy record."
