Music Reviews
Editorial Reviews
Rolling Stone (p.68) - 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "[T]he album -- recorded at Haggard's California ranch -- benefits from a relaxed, among-friends vibe..."
Spin (p.74) - "WORKING IN TENNESSEE glides along on its Bakersfield groove with the greatest of ease..."
Billboard (p.36) - "[A] remake of 'Workin' Man Blues' is bolstered by some fine singing and picking by Willie Nelson..."
Mojo (Publisher) (p.99) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "Hag's emerged with a release that impresses as he moves from the Western Swing of the title track to the sunnyside-up of 'Down On The Houseboat'..."
Record Collector (magazine) (p.94) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "It's mostly Haggard originals; expertly crafted celebrations of country's rich heritage, such as the old-timer defiance of 'Too Much Boogie Woogie' or the boozer regret of 'Sometimes I Dream."
