'When God created the writer, He equipped his senses with refined, delicate instruments that hear and see what no ear has heard nor eye has seen, and granted him the gift of expressing his thought, feeling, and sensation with elegant words and gentle letters. And God created me a writer and destined me to travel around the earth from East to West and from North to South, and to live with multiple peoples of different races, colors, tongues, and languages, and to enter palaces inhabited by kings and huts lived in by vagabonds, and to connect with giants and know dwarfs. So I heard and saw and recorded. And my concern was - and still is - that what I wrote be worthy of what God gave me, faithful to His blessing. These reflections are some of what my pen has written.
