Each lesson includes activating prior knowledge (oral language), high-frequency word review, phonemic awareness with the target skill, word-level fluency practice, connected text practice, comprehension questions, phoneme-grapheme mapping of the targeted skill, and dictation. Students graph their progress, which increases motivation, and provides immediate feedback on their success. This program can also be used as an intervention, prevention, and extension for kindergarten and up. The lessons are complete and ready to go, making them perfect for reading interventionists, classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, tutors, and homeschool settings. In addition to being aligned with the science of reading, it incorporates multiple strategies recommended for students with reading difficulties, including dyslexia (IDA).
