Then, students practice the targeted phonics skill with phonemic awareness instruction, word-level fluency, connected text, repeated reading, comprehension questions, spelling practice with sound-spelling boxes, and dictation. Students graph their progress, which increases motivation, and provides immediate feedback on their success. This program can also be used as an intervention, prevention, and extension for kindergarten and up. The lessons are complete and ready to go, making them perfect for reading interventionists, classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, tutors, and homeschool settings. In addition to being aligned with the science of reading, it incorporates multiple strategies recommended for students with reading difficulties, including dyslexia (IDA).
