Chapters 2 to 5 present the hydrodynamic research results for gravity-based comb-type breakwaters, including experimental studies on impermeable gravity comb-type breakwaters, numerical models of wave interaction with gravity comb-type breakwaters, and numerical investigations of both impermeable and permeable gravity comb-type breakwaters. Chapters 6 to 8 primarily address the hydrodynamic characteristics of floating comb-type breakwaters, including experimental studies on floating comb-type breakwaters, as well as experimental and numerical investigations of an integrated system combining a floating wave energy converter (floater) with a floating comb-type breakwater.
